Ruth Yates (1995 – 2006)
My overwhelming memory of being a member of First Bite Youth Theatre is of a safe space where imagination and fun were celebrated. It was a sanctuary from the seriousness and stress of school. Being a member of a team that pulled together to put on shows (3 hours of Nicholas Nickleby was a particular highlight!) was a lesson in teamwork and resilience but what I gained most was a sense of silliness and the importance of having fun.
