I’ve been putting this off for a while because I knew how hard I’d find it to put into words how much First Bite has meant to me over the years. I first walked into one of Rebecca’s groups when I was a shy, silent six year old who was stubbornly determined not to enjoy any kind of new activity encouraged by her parents. But from the very first session, despite not saying a word for quite some time, I was hooked on drama.

Rebecca’s classes have helped me open up and become more grounded in myself, they’ve been a relief and a support in the confusion of starting high school and meeting vast crowds of new people, and have kept me writing and creating and imagining all the time which I am so grateful for.

I’ve met people who I was completely in awe of, people who have inspired me, people who I have so much to learn from, and people who make me feel completely at ease. And that is why in many ways First Bite is a second home for so many of us. Because every week we spend two hours getting to do what we love with people we love, and many weeks we go home and get to do some more – more creating, more writing, and meeting up with some of our best friends.
Thanks for everything over the years Rebecca
